Indiana to receive $868 million for Hoosier Internet services

Indiana will get approximately $868 million to deploy “affordable, reliable high-speed Internet service” to Hoosiers all throughout the state.
It’s part of an initiative called “Internet for All” that was started by President Biden. Indiana, along with other states, will get a formal notice of allocation on Friday.
The state will have six months to submit initial proposals for grant programs, but they can submit those as early as July 1.

This isn’t free, this came from Federal taxes. Assuming every state is getting an allocation based on their population (roughly), then we are getting what we paid in… at a cost of about $125 per Hoosier! So your family of 4 just paid $500 for this boondoggle to run fiber down (mostly) empty roads!

Bidenomics, indeed…

Yup, anytime any government entity says it will be free you’d better watch you wallet because they’ll be coming for more taxes to make it ‘free’.
