The LaPaz-North Township Fire Department is looking at creating a new fire territory.
The fire department and ambulance service have been struggling to recruit volunteers, causing the, to look into hiring people to help fill positions.
People are currently waiting 30 to 40 minutes to receive services when they call.
Township officials delayed the vote on conducting a bigger study until they hear from Polk Township, but officials said they want to hear from residents.
According to WNDU, they will gather again on August 15 to determine how to proceed.
