Yakym speaking out after first Transportation & Infrastructure hearing

Second District Congressman Rudy Yakym issued the following statement after taking part in his first Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hearing of the 118th Congress.

One of the measures Congressman Yakym voted for during the markup was a joint resolution of authority to overturn the Biden Administration’s “Waters of the United States” rule:

“The Biden Administration’s burdensome WOTUS rule exemplifies big government and Washington, D.C. at its worst.

“The last thing we need is bureaucrats imposing more and more regulations that make our way of life more difficult. When it comes to WOTUS, I have heard time and again from Hoosier farmers and ranchers that these rules and regulations will only drive up costs and create more uncertainty and confusion over what they can and can’t do on their own land.

“I am committed to fighting federal government overreach wherever it exists – including in this case with the Biden EPA.”

“I am committed to fighting federal government overreach wherever it exists – including in this case with the Biden EPA.”

So committed, in fact, that he refused to sign the amicus brief that 33 members of Congress submitted in court against the ATF’s unconstitutional pistol brace rule. What a committed fighter against overreach he is!

In all fairness, neither of Indiana’s cowardly senators (RINO Young or Blowhard Braun) were brave enough to sign it either. Indiana’s GOP needs to be scrapped and replaced.
