Michigan’s RockStock music festival won’t return until 2023

A popular rock festival in West Michigan is taking the year off.

RockStock, the festival that began in 2008 in Muskegon, will not be held in 2022. Organizers say they look to plug back in in August of 2023.

In 2019 the festival added a carnival, but COVID caused the plug to be pulled in 2020 and 2021. Event sponsors that are still recovering from pandemic-related challenges also led to the decision.

It’s expected that the carnival and the music festival will split up into separate events when RockStock returns.
