Bail set for North Chicago woman accused of killing 6-year-old son

Bail is set at $5 million for the North Chicago woman charged with the killing of her six-year-old son.

Jannie Perry has been charged with first-degree murder in Damari Perry’s death.

Authorities say Damari was reported missing before his body was found this past weekend wrapped in a plastic trash bag in Gary.

Prosecutors say the boy died after he was forced into a cold shower by a relative as a punishment for misbehaving.

Two of his siblings have been charged with hiding his body.
