Amish Acres auction earns more than $4 million; former US congressman among buyers

(Photo supplied/ABC 57)

Amish Acres has officially been sold to a total of six different buyers with a combined price of more than $4 million

Not all of the buyers are known. However, a well known local name bought perhaps the biggest piece. Former US Representative Marlin Stutzman and business partner John Kruse bough the Round Barn Theater, the restaurant and several other buildings. Their purchase also came with the rights to the Amish Arts Festival. What they plan to do with that section of property isn’t known.

It will take some time to finalize the sales and in mid march the current owners will be holding a sale to move some of their own personal items.
