Arrest made in connection to West Marion Street shooting

An arrest has been made in connection with a shooting on Thursday, March 22, in South Bend.

Luvelle Neal, 32, was treated for injuries after the shooting, which happened in the 300 block of West Marion in South Bend, released from the hospital and booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on an outstanding warrant.

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide investigators have checked out a vehicle, interviewed several people and are looking for a third individual to speak to about the shooting.

The other person who was shot is a 25-year-old man. He who was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head.

Metro Homicide investigators are asking that anybody with information regarding the shooting to contact them at 574-235-5009 or Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.
