City Engineer Tim Zebell has been appointed as the St. Joseph assistant city manager.

New City Manager Emily Hackworth recommended Zebell for the post, stating that she is excited to elevate Zebell.

Zebell will remain the city engineer while advising Hackworth and taking over for her when she is absent.

WSJM says he will not be responsible for any direct reports to commissioners to ensure his plate doesn’t get too full, though Zebell says taking the appointment helps align things at city hall.
