The Lincoln Township Board of Trustees heard from road department leaders and agreed to a roadside trail project.
The Berrien County Road Department is reconstructing Red Arrow Highway between Bridgman and Stevensville in 2026, and they’ll be taking the road from four lanes down to three and getting a trail alongside it.
According to WSJM, having a three-lane road with a center turn lane is likely safer than having four lanes of travel.
The road department will reconstruct Red Arrow Highway from the city of Bridgman to the Cook plant next year, with work including a new traffic light in front of the plant.
