Colts Defensive Coordinator shares difficulty of job

Defensive Coordinator, Gus Bradley, shares how difficult it is being the guy who’s burying the criticism for the organization, the players, the team, and the fans.
He says there was a time last game where they were not getting better at tackling or other fundamental things.
“You want to play better for our whole emphasis on getting better each week,” Bradley says.
The Colts tried to take away Jacksonville’s offensive rhythm because the Jaguars were aggressive in their first few games.
NFL’s Next Gen stats say that Jaguars Quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, had been taking more long-range shots than usual, averaging 10.6 yards per target over the first four weeks.
The Colts know about the threats posed by rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. and speedy veteran Gabe Davis, who were focused on minimizing big plays.
Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen is all about preventing explosive plays, and that was the game plan heading into Sunday’s matchup.
The Jaguars took advantage.
“There were times where we said, ‘Let’s get coverage, double outside guys and make sure they didn’t get any explosive plays,’” Bradley said. “When you do that, you get zone drops, and you get some space. They hit the checkdown.”
