The South Bend Police Department and the South Bend Fire Department are teaming up to provide relief to Hurricane Helene victims, as well as the countless others preparing for damage from incoming Hurricane Milton.

From Oct. 7 through Friday, Oct. 11, donations can be dropped off at the South Bend Police Department’s front desk, from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.

The items donated will be loaded onto a trailer and several South Bend police officers and firefighters plan to travel down south in the near future to deliver the supplies to those who are dealing with the hurricanes’ devastation.

McKinnies Realty at 1632 E. Day Road in Mishawaka has also offered to serve as a donation drop-off site. All donations dropped off at McKinnies will be delivered to the main donation site at SBPD at the end of the week.
