The man accused of being in a house that was not his was sentenced to a year and a half on probation.

Reports say the house on C.R. 4 in Elkhart was for sale at the time, when the homeowner’s realtor contacted police saying the house appeared to have been tampered with since he or the homeowner had last seen it.

Immanuel Bostic, along with a woman, were reportedly found exiting a bedroom, and they told police they had just bought the house after a man named Mike had given them a tour of the home and permission to stay there. However, nobody named Mike was involved with the residence.

The Goshen News says Bostic pleaded guilty to robbery last month.
