A person driving a motorcycle is in serious condition after a crash with a truck early Friday morning, Oct. 4, in Mishawaka.

The collision happened just after 7 a.m. on Beech Road.

The person was riding along Beech Road when the accident occurred.

As a result, the road between Ireland Road and Wildwood Drive was closed.

Police were asking people to avoid the area, as the road was expected to remain closed for 2 to 3 hours.
