Two people have died in a house fire in South Bend.

Crews were called to the home on Pear Road around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The home on Pear is located southwest of Quince and Edison Roads.

Few details about the blaze or the vicimts have been released, so far, but multiple roads were closed near the area, and firefighters were telling residents to stay clear of the surrounding area.

The two victims were said to have been the only people in the house, and there were no pets in the home. No cause for the fire has been given.
