The Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County has opened its new “Center for Youth Success.”
It’s a state-of-the-art facility for homeless and at-risk youth. The center offers a safe space, shelter, and resources to help young people permanently overcome homelessness.
The new 22,000-square-foot facility on Caterina Street in South Bend doubles the capacity of the Safe Station emergency center, allowing the bureau to serve up to 2,000 youth each year.
The center offers educational activities, a commercial kitchen for teaching job skills and nutrition, and opportunities for youth-led business projects.
There’s also a gym, wellness area, and more.
