White Pigeon woman hospitalized after medical emergency leads to crash in Elkhart

A 64-year-old White Pigeon woman was hospitalized Thursday morning following a multi-vehicle collision on State Road 120.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:05 AM when the driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe, experienced a medical emergency while traveling westbound. Her vehicle veered off the roadway, damaging the landscaping in the 21000 block of State Road 120 before crashing into the garage of a home.

The woman’s car collided with two unoccupied vehicles parked at the residence-a 2019 Cadillac XT4 and a 2002 Chevrolet S10-causing extensive damage to all three vehicles. The woman, who was wearing her seatbelt at the time, complained of chest pain and was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for evaluation.

No citations were issued. Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
