A 57-year-old man faces nine years with the Indiana Department of Corrections for a burglary at Elkhart Hinge.

It happened in March 2023 when a neighbor told police he saw a man break in through the fence.

Police attempted to pull over a vehicle matching the description, but it led police on a pursuit before crashing and attempting to flee on foot.

Tony Sommers was found with four catalytic converters, two of which were found to have come from the truck at Elkhart Hinge.

He was sentenced to nine years at the IDOC for burglary.
