Two teenagers arrested in Berrien Homes shooting

Benton Township Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with a shooting that occurred at the Berrien Homes housing complex on Thursday, Sep. 5. The victim was treated at Corewell Health and released later that evening.
The investigation revealed that the shooting took place on Council Drive in the Berrien Homes complex. Following interviews with witnesses and the victim, authorities identified and apprehended two male suspects, ages 13 and 16, Friday, Sep. 6.
The 13-year-old is from Benton Harbor, and the 16-year-old is from Berrien Springs. Both were taken to the Berrien County Juvenile Center.
