By now, you may have heard about the listeria outbreak believed to be connected to Boar’s Head deli meats.

Well, it has been learned that dead bugs and mold were found at the plant in Virginia.

Between August of last year and August of this year, federal meat inspectors documented black mold, flies in pickle vats, leaky water pipes, and a rancid odor. They issued dozens of citations.

Nine people, all over age 70, have died since May after eating deli meat produced there.

The CDC also says 57 people have been hospitalized.
