Red Cross helping occupants after house fire on Decamp Avenue in Elkhart

The American Red Ross is helping some Elkhart residents after their house caught fire.

The blaze broke out around 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23 in the 2300 block of Decamp Avenue.

Elkhart Fire crews arrived to find a large amount of smoke and flames coming from the back ofthe structure.

It’s believed the blaze originated in the sun room of the home. The cause is still being investigated.

There were no injuries reported.
