Construction on I-94 near Michigan City to start next week

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)
Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Rieth Riley Construction will have lane closures on I-94 east of the U.S. 20/35 interchange (mile marker 40-42) on or after Monday, August 26.
I-94 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction through mid-November for a bridge deck overlay preventative maintenance project on Warnke Rd over I-94. Lane closures will alternate so motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns in the area.
INDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and follow traffic directions carefully. Motorists should slow down, exercise caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
