Mental Health America releases annual State of Mental Health in America report

Mental Health America has released its annual State of Mental Health in America report.

The report ranks states based on 5 mental health access and prevalence measures. According to the analysis, the United States is currently in a mental health crisis, with nearly 60 million adults experiencing a mental illness in the past year.

Indiana has shown improvement in the past five years on many measures tracked in the report, but they rank 24th in the nation on youth and adult indicators.

Indiana is also in the bottom third for adults with substance use disorders and unmet needs for treatment of the disorders.
