The WNBA All-Star game will be held in Indianapolis in 2025. That is a first for the Circle City.

It’s sponsored by AT&T and is set for Saturday July 19, 2025.

“We are excited to bring AT&T WNBA All-Star to Indiana for the first time,” said WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. “The city of Indianapolis and the entire state of Indiana have such an incredible and enduring passion for the game of basketball, making the region the perfect host to celebrate the WNBA and the game’s greatest stars.”

In addition to the game, players will compete in the WNBA STARRY three-point contest and the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge on Friday July 18. Fans will also get the chance to take part in WNBA Live, which is an interactive celebration representing the intersection of the WNBA with sport, fashion, music, and culture.

“We are in the middle of a pivotal, transformational moment in the history of the WNBA and women’s basketball, and we are thrilled Indiana will be the center of it all with the game’s biggest stars on display during next season’s All-Star Game,” said Mel Raines, CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment. “Leaders across our community are going to do what we do best: welcome fans from around the nation and the globe to Indiana, raise the bar for future host cities, and leave a lasting legacy for our city and state.”

ABC’s presentation of the 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star game was played in front of a sold-out crowd at Footprint Center in Phoenix. It was also the most watched WNBA All-Star Game ever.

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett released the following statement:

Indianapolis is on a roll as the host city for major events. I am thrilled that the WNBA will bring the All-Star Game to Indianapolis in 2025. Our city looks forward to welcoming the WNBA and its fans in the same way we welcomed the NBA and its fans in February for the All-Star Weekend. Of course, minus the snow! The city looks forward to partnering with the WNBA, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, and the Simon Family over the coming months to make sure this game and the events surrounding it are memorable for all.

Right now, the entire country is feeling the excitement and energy of the WNBA. I’d argue no where is feeling it more than Indianapolis. Our Indiana Fever leads the league in attendance for both away and home games. The Caitlin Clark effect is here and our city is truly at the center of the women’s basketball world. I have said it once, and I will say it again, no one knows how to host the biggest events in sports like Indianapolis – the WNBA All-Star Game will be no exception.
