Man faces charges after shoplifting report, police chase in Koz. Co.

A man faces several charges after leading the police on a chase Sunday in Kosciusko County.

Police officials say Ridley Brown ran out of the store after they were called to the Walmart on Walton Blvd on a shoplifting complaint. He headed west despite an attempt to pull him over in the parking lot and reached speeds up to 100 m.p.h. on US-30.

He eventually turned north on County Road 800 West and struck a tire deflation device. Brown eventually pulled over after driving several miles on the damaged tires.

He faces charges of parole violation, resisting law enforcement, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, and theft.
