The Indianapolis Colts lost their first game of the preseason to the Denver Broncos at home Sunday.

The Colts were the first team to score with a field goal, but the Broncos quickly responded with a field goal of their own to tie the game 3-3.

After a missed field goal try from the Colts, Denver responded with a Marvin Mims touchdown. Indianapolis was able to answer back with a touchdown of their own, but it was Denver who took the halftime lead thanks to another field goal.

Denver would hold onto that lead for the remainder of the game. Despite a late comeback bid from Indianapolis, the Broncos would leave Lucas Oil Stadium with a 34-30 victory.

As expected, the Colts rotated through plenty of players throughout the game. While starting quarterback Anthony Richardson got some playing time, so did four other quarterbacks currently on the Colts roster.

Richardson was 2/4 throwing the ball for 25 yards. San Ehlinger had the most yards through the air out of all the Colts QBs. The Texas product had 80 passing yards while completing 5 of his 6 passing attempts.

Starting running back Jonathan Taylor was given a light workload Sunday. The 25-year-old finished the game with 2 carries for 4 yards.

14 different receivers caught a pass Sunday including rookie Adonai Mitchell who’s only reception was an 11 yard gain.
