South Bend man injured after deer vs motorcycle crash

A South Bend man was hospitalized after crashing into a deer while on his motorcycle.

The collision happened around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, on Calvin Center near Mason Street in Cassopolis.

Investigation say the 40-year-old man was traveling southbound when the deer ran out in front of him.

The man was not able to avoid the deer and was injured.

He taken to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of his injuries
