Planet Fitness locations around the area are helping to collect school supplies for children at the Northern Indiana Boys & Girls Clubs.

Elkhart, Goshen, Fort Wayne, LaPorte, Plymouth, Michigan City, Huntington and Warsaw are participating in the supply drive through August 9.

Writing utensils, notebooks, backpacks, art supplies and more can be donated, and both members and nonmembers of Planet Fitness are invited to contribute.

Items collected will be distributed by Northern Indiana Boys & Girls Club chapters staff to local children in need.

With the increased cost of supplies, some families will spend hundreds of dollars on back-to-school this year, making no donation too small.
