A study is being planned to decide if the Berrien County Jail should be renovated or replaced.
The Berrien County sheriff’s department will get a $200,000 grant secured by state representative Joey Andrews, to investigate the jail’s infrastructure issues.
Officials are also considering whether to improve or replace the juvenile center, as well.
The study is expected to take 6 to 9 months.
