Three people, multiple homes, vehicles fired at along Bissell Street in South Bend

Three people were wounded in a shooting in South Bend.

It was around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 28, when South Bend Police responded to shots fired in the 1300 block of E. Bissell Street.

Upon arrival, officers located three victims with apparent gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

More than 100 rounds are believed to have been fired in this incident, with multiple homes and vehicles struck by gunfire.

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.

More than 100 rounds fired and 3 injured…good to see the criminals are keeping up their low level of accuracy. Keeping it classy South Bend.
