The Elkhart Fire Department has burned approximately 50% of the downed trees and brush collected after last week’s storms.
Crews will continue hauling trees and brush until cleanup is complete. Assistance for impacted residents is still available.
Residents are encouraged to put their request in at “MyElkhart311” or by calling 211.
The burn is taking part at the City’s Toledo Road site, and they plan to burn until 3 p.m. each day until the burn is no longer needed.
