A 32-year-old man from St. Croix, Indiana, faces a preliminary charge of attempted murder after a Sunday night argument over a barking dog, say Indiana State Police.
Police were called to a home Sunday night, just before midnight, in St. Croix. That’s an unincorporated town in Perry County.
State police say Tyler Richardson went to confront his neighbors about their barking dog. At one point during the confrontation, James Morris, walked toward the property line and was shot by Richardson with a pistol. Officers say Morris was visiting his in-laws who happened to be Richardson’s neighbors.
Morris was sent to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Richardson faces several preliminary charges including attempted murder.

I can understand the anger with people who do not control their animals. I hate being barked at every time I exit the house…even just to get my mail.

Even so, don’t make irreversible decisions. Just call the Sheriff.
