New details have been released regarding the murder and child neglect charges against an Elkhart County father.

Ryan Snyder, 37, is being held without bond after an 18 hour long SWAT standoff ended on Sunday, July 7.

His 2-year-old son was found dead inside the Elkhart home and his 4-year-old daughter was found hiding inside.

Documents say Snyder spoke to the mother of the children on a video call on Saturday night when he threatened to hurt them. She also said Snyder had been telling her that he was going to “ruin” her world.

Autopsy results on the boy have not yet been released. Snyder will make his first court appearance on July 18.
