Goshen man arrested for allegedly beating bar employee

A Goshen man has been arrested for allegedly beating a bar employee with a baton.
Officers responded just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, to El Imperial located in the 100 block of South Main Street in Goshen. Workers at the bar reported that a male customer battered a security staff member with a baton.
Jose Tiburcio Martinez Garcia, 48, was arrested for Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury.
Injuries were reported by both men involved, but both refused medical attention.
Martinez Garcia was taken to the Elkhart County Jail.
