More information about arrest of Logansport parents, alleged son’s abuse

14-year-old Bryson Muir was found Wednesday morning after he had been reported missing in June. His parents, Daniel and Kristin Muir, were each arrested on obstruction of justice charges. Daniel, who is a former Colts defensive tackle, also faces a charge of domestic battery.
Court documents filed in Cass County claim Daniel told a family member that he beat his son.
According to court docs, Daniel had told his brother-in-law that he beat Bryson over accusations he had inappropriate contact with other children.
“I whooped his ass like a grown ass man,” said Daniel to his brother-in-law. Daniel also said “if they lived in their homeland (religious country) (redacted name) would be put to death for his acts, instead they live in the United States so they could not put him to death,”
Bryson was found safe Wednesday morning after a compound in Logansport was raided by SWAT and State Police.
Daniel is believed to be a pastor of Straitway Truth Ministry, who’s members identify as Hebrew Israelites.
