Elkhart man arrested after allegedly fleeing from traffic stop

An Elkhart man has been arrested after Goshen Police say he fled from a traffic stop at Wilden Avenue and Kundred Road.
The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2.
Investigators say the driver, John Raymond Rosario-Melendez, 26,crashed into two vehicles and ended up in the 800 block of River Avenue.
He then swam across the Elkhart River and was apprehended by Officers on Chicago Avenue.
After being checked by Goshen General Hospital he was taken to the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary counts of  Resisting Law Enforcement Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
