Buchanan’s Hannah Roberts headed back to Olympics

Buchanan, Michigan’s own Hannah Roberts is heading back to the Olympics.
Roberts, part of USA Cycling’s Elite Women’s National Team, won silver in BMX Freestyle at the Tokyo Olympics and secured her spot on Team USA by winning the final round of the Olympic Qualifying Series.
She started BMX riding at age 9 and won her first BMX Freestyle World Championship at 17. Since then, Roberts has claimed world titles in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Leader Publications reports in 2019, after finishing third at the world championships, she dominated the season, winning every World Cup event and the Pan Am Games, and capturing the national championship.
Despite an injury, her hometown of Buchanan cheered as she clinched the silver medal in Tokyo.
