A South Bend man is facing 168 months in prison after a 2022 robbery.

30-year-old DeVante Jiggets pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery affecting commerce, one count of brandishing a firearm in relation to a crime of violence and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Documents say in November and December of 2922, Jiggets, along with two others, robbed several phone stores and a convenience store at gunpoint. When police attempted to apprehend Jiggets, he fled in a vehicle and on foot, all while carrying a handgun that was recovered.

A felony conviction from 204 prohibited Jiggets from possessing the firearm. He faces 168 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
