An Elkhart man had his initial hearing after being accused of murder earlier this year.

39-year-old Michael Dandridge was charged with the shooting murder of David Strowder in March.

The 911 caller stated that her brother in law, Dandridge, was the shooter and had left the scene.

The woman told police that Dandridge had come to the house looking for Strowder, went inside and shot him before calmly walking out and leaving. Another witness claimed to have seen Dandridge and identified him through a photo lineup.

His jury trial is set for January 6.
