The two candidates for governor squared off for the first time on the debate stage.

Both Senator Mike Braun and Dr. Jennifer McCormick were at the annual meeting of the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana.

The two debated mostly economic issues that impact Indiana. McCormick touted her experience as Indiana’s last elected state superintendent and that she knows how the economy impacts education.

Braun mentioned his background in building a business again saying that he looks forward to being the next “CEO of the state.”
