The 2nd annual free Fishing Clinic for kids is happening on Saturday.

It’s happening at High Dive Park off Baldwin Street. Children ages 7 and older will visit five stations to learn the basics of fishing, including safety and casting, knot tying, basic tackle, stewardship and conservation.

Then, they will be able to fish around High Dive Pond where volunteers will be there to help first-time fishers get a good start with their skills.

The first 200 kids to complete the clinic will receive their very own fishing rod, and families will be able to check out live fish from the Elkhart River.

No registration is necessary, and the clinic is happening from 8 until noon tomorrow morning.
