Cass County Drug Enforcement Detectives make several arrests for meth possession

Cass County Drug Enforcement Detectives made several arrests for possession of meth on Wednesday, May 29.
One of the detectives received information that a person was in possession of meth and driving a vehicle.
The detective observed the vehicle and had an officer make a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver, a 46-year-old man from Dowagiac, was found to be in possession of several concealed illegal knives as well as meth.
A 39-year-old woman from Dowagiac who was a passenger in the vehicle was found to have a felony warrant for her and was arrested.
A quantity of meth was also found on the woman and she was arrested for possession of meth.
Both were lodged at the Cass County Jail with the male being charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of meth, and the female being charged with possession of meth and her outstanding felony warrant.
As a result of this stop, officers were contacted by a Department of Corrections officer who said a check of several people currently on parole/probation needed to be checked. Officers located the suspects in the 100 block of N. Front St. Upon making contact, officers arrested three Dowagiac men man on a variety of drug and weapons-related charges.
