Two dead after LaPorte County crash

Two people were killed in a motorcycle crash in LaPorte County.
The collision happened around 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, May 19.
The initial on-scene investigation determined a green 2012 Can-Am Spyder motorcycle was traveling northwest in the 3500 block of U.S. 35.
The motorcycle traveled across a lawn and collided with a tree and landscaping.
The motorcycle continued traveling off the roadway and crashed into some boulders, before coming to rest in a vegetable garden.
Both occupants of the motorcycle were ejected.
The driver was identified as Steven A. Dabney, 58, of Kingsford Heights.  The passenger was identified as Anna M. Thomas, 59, also of Kingsford Heights.
Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene. Dabney was taken by ground from the scene and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Toxicology tests results are pending.
