Groundbreaking will soon take place on Penn High School’s soon-to-be multi-use fieldhouse.

The new 80,000 square foot fieldhouse has been years in the making.

It will include practice and performance areas for Track and Field, Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Tennis, Wrestling, Dance, Cheer, Robotics, Marching Band and Color Guard, as well as classrooms, a training room, locker and dressing rooms, student commons and concessions.

The fieldhouse will be able to accommodate more than 800 people with plenty of parking for family and community members wishing to watch athletic or other types of activities.

They’ll be breaking ground on Tuesday, May 7 at 8:30 a.m. off McKinley Highway near Penn High School between the new Culver’s and the Penn Fire Station.
