BBB warns to watch out for Mother’s Day scams

Mother’s Day is coming up quick, and if you’re still looking for the perfect gift, you need to beware of scammers.

The Better Business Bureau says while many are shopping for affordable options, scammers have created fake websites advertising great deals that truly are too good to be true.

Many items received from the sites may not be the quality advertised, may not arrive on time, or may not arrive at all.

The BBB says that when shopping online, only shop at sites you know and trust, and avoid pop-up ads.

When ordering flowers, look for trusted local shops near you, and if sending flowers in another city, confirm that the shop truly exists.

Always remember that if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. If you encounter any suspicious activity or want to confirm that a business is real, check on BBB.org.
