The Michigan State Police are reminding drivers about the state’s Move-Over Law.
WSJM reports that the reminder comes after the death last week of a State Trooper on the side of the road on I-75.
Motorists in the state are required to give space to emergency vehicles on the side of the road, and slow down to at least ten miles per hour below the posted speed limit. If there’s a lane available, they should move over and proceed with extreme caution.
Failing to obey the Move-Over Law can result in a $400 ticket.
