A Michigan man has been arrested and is the key suspect in a shooting near Howe.
LaGrange County sheriff’s deputies got the call, late Wednesday afternoon, about shots fired in the 6800 block of County Road 270 E.
The owner says he was shot at by a person sitting in a blue van on his property.
Police say the suspect, Gregory Kurzawski of Colon, Mich., got out of the van and fired several rounds at the resident with an AR style rifle, hitting the owners vehicle several times.
The suspect then fled to the Dollar General in Howe, where he opened a customer’s passenger door and pulled a gun as he dove into the vehicle, the customer ran into the store and officers arrived and arrested Kurzawski.
He’s charged with attempted murder, criminal recklessness with a firearm and several other counts.
