Three Rivers man sentenced for molesting young girl

A Three Rivers man was sentenced to prison for molesting a seven year old girl.

Leader Publications reports that 74-year-old Duboyd Junior Allen pleaded guilty to second degree criminal sexual conduct against a child 13 or younger for the incidents happening between May and June of 2022.

According to reports, Allen is said to have given candy to the child in exchange for silence.

He was sentenced to six to 15 years in prison, registering as a sex offender and lifetime GPS monitoring.

Allen’s defense attorney asked for a shorter sentence due to Allen’s older age, but the Cass County Circuit Judge said he would have believed Allen’s statements acknowledging his wrongdoing and being ashamed of himself if it wasn’t the third time Allen had been convicted for actions against young children.

Third offense should be a one way trip through the felon zapper.
