A lot of Americans have New Years resolutions to lose weight. Here is a common scam that could impact your weight loss goals, if you fall for it.

The Better Business Bureau says a slew of scams involving vitamins, supplements, and weight loss formulas claiming rapid results could result in being scammed.

The products can be questionable, along with business dealings of these companies. The scam works like this. Weight loss product scams start with promises that are too good to be true.

They use words like melt, flush, and burn away unwanted fat fast.

The ads have before and after pictures, five star reviews, and some have been featured on shows like Shark Tank. The BBB says the ads are misleading and the products could include ingredients bad for your wealth.
