Two people injured after Elkhart County crash

Two people were injured after a crash on Wednesday, January 3, at 5:36 p.m..

It happened at the intersection of State Road 15 and County Road 20 in Elkhart County.

Police say vehicle one was traveling southbound on State Road 15 north of County Road 20, with no headlights on while driving in the dark.

Vehicle two was going northbound, turning onto County Road 20.

The first vehicle hit the second. Both vehicle were damaged.

The driver of the first car left the scene and was later found. The driver was taken to South Bend Memorial for internal injuries.

The driver of the second car was treated at the scene for a laceration to the head..
