Downtown Goshen Fire and Ice Festival First Friday

(Ben Quiggle/Elkhart Truth)

Goshen First Fridays is bringing back a fan favorite on January 5.

It’s the Fire and Ice Festival. Professional ice carving will start at noon for people to watch and all of the activities will happen from five until eight in the evening.

The completed sculptures will be on display, with fire dancers performing. Kids can have their picture taken sitting on the ice throne or ice sleigh.

Carvers include 2017 National Pro Division Champion Danny Bloss, Goshen’s Sammy Moore, Mike Evans, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, South Bend’s Howard Busfield, Ryan Frauhiger, from Wells County, Indiana, Bud Lies of LaPorte, Indiana, and Buchanan, Michigan’s Josh Niven.

You can find full event details for January First Fridays at www.DowntownGoshen.org.
